Running: I started running in 2017 more casually focusing on speed for 5 km. May 2023 I got inspired by people I gave advice to and decided to pursue a longer distance myself. Completed a half marathon I completed on Aug 20th with a time of 1:43. I usually try to get 2 runs minimum a week and go for a longer one on the weekend. It has really helped me grow in my ability to challenge myself and prove my capabilities. Currently training for the Montreal Full marathon, and longest distance ran in single run so far has been 35 km with a water pack and gels in March 2024.
Language: I have really wanted to visit Japan since 2015 and have seen so many videos on their culture and community which inspired me to study Japanese. I have been studying for over a year now. Learning a language has helped my memory, and intuitive thinking.
Hiking: I love the mountains. It gives me a challenge like no other for resource management. It has been a huge help mentally to decompress, and evaluate my progression. I started in 2020 after graduating, going with my engineering buddies, slowly overtime I started doing more as a sport to push myself to get more efficient. So far have logged over 35 peaks climbed and still pushing for more, recent ones have been The Turret and Grotto Mountain Trail.
